“I’m not waiting for you to throw the first punch. I’m knocking you out and then going home. “

Unless you DON’t knock him out, and he shoots you.

Or calls the cops, and has you arrested for assault.

It is not illegal for someone to talk to you, or even to say something you don’t like. If you can’t deal with it, don’t go out in public.

If you are going to quote an if/then statement of mine, quote the whole thing.

If you're getting into contact space in an confrontation you start

That's what I said. Getting into contact space (reach) in an confrontation you start. If you're following me, then getting out of a car and coming after me to contact space, as far as I'm concerned, you've gone from someone looking for discussion to what's going on, to someone with bad intentions. I'm stopping the threat and going home. One way or another.

It is not illegal for someone to talk to you, or even to say something you don’t like.

I wasn't referring to talking, or saying something I didn't like. That can be done from a safe distance outside the reach of each other's fists or feet.
