Alternate plan “B” is what we need to start thinking about from here on out.

Go for it. A lot of people here have been looking for an alternative to the current crop of GOP candidates and no one has stepped in.

The RNC has sent trial balloons of Jeb Bush as a brokered candidate emerging from the convention but those trial balloons have been received with a resounding thud and Jeb took himself out of contention by saying he would vote for mittens.

The fact is that the RNC has badly fractured conservatives by forcing Romney on us and, if he ends up as the candidate of choice, a lot of us will either stay home or just NOT vote for him. Either way, Michael Steele will end up being the best friend an embattled Obama EVER had.

This election has become a complete disaster already. Neither Romney or Santorum can deliver us from this predicament.

We need to rebuild a party from the ground up, with an new name to suit. It will take at least 4 years for it to become viable, although inroads are available at the midterm level.

It's obvious that the GOP is dead. They no longer represent us as they have been doing since Newt resigned his speaker position, which he did for that reason alone.

Time will tell, but either way, we are due and in need for a whole new direction. This current one has gone off the rail, over a cliff and into the ocean of failed political affiliations.
