LOL
From Ayn Rand's, Atlas Shrugged:
Did you really think we want those laws observed? said Dr. Ferris. We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with. (
When it comes to government collectivist K-12 schooling conservatives are appallingly asleep as to the serious and urgent danger it poses to our freedom. It can not be reformed. It must be abolished because its rotten foundation is collectivism.
Personally, I consider government collectivist schooling to be soooo evil for the child and such a threat to our nation's freedom, that I will no longer have a government teacher for a friend. I am done with them!
I was thinking of that very same passage from the same work - Orwell’s 1984.
We’ve come to that at last.
Yep, looks like a Nuggaholic.
For shame, trying to addict another generation of females.
I hope she’s in rehab.

And,...Those who believe they can possibly hope to influence a government education system built upon a foundation of socialist-entitlement collectivism is a Useful Idiot.
It is for your well stated reasons above that I have recently made a personal decision. I will no longer have a government teacher for a friend. I am done with them. They are either too evil, too stupid, or too much of a Useful Idiot to be a friend.
( See my tag line. I wouldn't have an abortion worker for a friend either.)

I used to think home schooling was ridiculous. Not anymore.
It’s sad. Growing up I had quite a few teachers who were dedicated to teaching. If you needed tutoring, most teachers would work with you relentlessly until you learned the subject. Today,,,forget it.
I blame the unions, but I also blame government, school administrators and indifferent parents. A friend of mine is married to a teacher. At the last open house, most of the parents didn’t bother to show up. And any teacher who sincerely wants to teach is hamstrung by union rules and administrative micromanagement. My friend’s husband wanted to tutor one of his students after school. He was told by administrators and his union rep he wasn’t allowed. Some silly reason about liability to the school should the kid claim the teacher molested him, plus the union contract forbade working more than the 6 hours or whatever per day. Just amazing.
And we wonder why such a large percentage drop out and those who do graduate can’t read, write, do simple math or fill out a job application. But that may be part of the plan for when Obama becomes president for life. Can’t effectively run a dictatorship if the masses are educated.
No,...The fundamental problem is that government is a socialist-entitlement. It is built upon a foundation of compulsory collectivism. Nothing good can ever come from such a system.
While socialist-entitlement programs may start out not being so bad ( due to the values and professionalism of the workers) they eventually deteriorate. We will see the same thing with Obamacare. At first Obamacare won't be that bad ( due to the professionalism of those trained under the old value system) but in a generation or two, that is when the true horror of Obamacare will show forth.
Growing up I had quite a few teachers who were dedicated to teaching. If you needed tutoring, most teachers would work with you relentlessly until you learned the subject. Today,,,forget it.
I did too. These were teachers of my father's generation ( born 1913) when few Americans attended more than 8 years of school and most were schooled in one room school houses. Traditional rural and pioneer values were still strong, that is why these socialist-entitlement schools didn't seem so bad. But...It was inevitable. Socialist-entitlement programs ( such as government K-12 schooling), built on a foundation of collectivism, are bound to fail. Socialism is to blame, not the parents, the teachers, the students, the neighborhood, the media, the funding, not the legislators, or anything else. **Socialist collectivism ** always fails!
At the last open house, most of the parents didnt bother to show up.
I have **never** been to a parent-teacher open house that wasn't a complete, total, and absolutely utter WASTE of my life and the teacher's! Maybe most parents eventually figure that out and give it up! Even when I have scheduled special time with the teacher and principal to discuss a specific problem, the teachers and principals do what they want. They absolutely do NOT want parent input.
But that may be part of the plan for when Obama becomes president for life. Cant effectively run a dictatorship if the masses are educated.
BINGO!!! Spot on RIGHT!

“Margaret Maynor was brought to tears in the third session.”
Typical nanny stater. She is nothing but the bully that got punched back and now she runs away.
Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt!
