I’ve seen that too.
Mark Levin cleared up yesterday what Santorum actually said. It was 100% percent.
Most of the Newt supporters are hypocrits that failed math class. Because of proportional allocation in the Southern states, Romney WILL get to 1,144 before the convention.
Subscribing to the lunacy that somehow Newt is taking delegates from Romney is beyond logical, yet despite NO evidence to support it, the fanatical Newt supporters keep spreading the same false brokered convention lie.
If people actually did their homework with the statistics, rather than shoot their mouths off, they would clearly see the truth behind Newt staying in serves no purpose other than to protect Romney and boost Newt’s ego.
You can look at ANY EXIT POLL from ANY of the states that have occurred. When you look at the voting Demographics of Newt voters (Primarily Males, Ages 25-50, Make less than 100K, Rural, Support Tea Party, Conservative, Possibly Religious) those demographics almost exactly match Santorum’s voters with the exception that Santorum gets more supporters in each of those categories and far more women and Evangelicals.
Yet, Romney’s base includes (Women, Seniors, Hispanics, Moderates, Urban-Subruban Voters, Moderate/Lib/RINOs, People that think he looks the part, Income Earners over 100K). Where is the overlap between Rick/Newt’s supporters and Mitt’s? The simple answer is THEIR ISNT ONE. If Newt were really doing serious damage to Romney, he would be winning or doing at least respectable in ANY of these Romney base categories. But the simple fact is HE ISN’T.
State by state results proves this. Newt is NOT hurting Romney or slowing him down, he is simply depriving Santorum of voters. Continued across the remaining Southern States where Santorum can’t get 50% of the vote, Newt will allow Romney to pick up enough proportional delegates to allow him to clinch the nomination before the convention.
It’s that simple. The Evidence is on my side. The Newt supporters have no math or statistical data to back up their claims. If this were any other candidate on FR, Newt would CLEARLY be labeled a stalking horse.
Go ahead, proove me wrong. I dare you (Newt Supporters).
Oh, and one last thing on this fallacy that “Democrats” are voting for Santorum.
Ahem, the 2008 Alabama Primary Results for Huckabee, McCain, and Romney
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#AL
And the 2012 Alabama Primary Results for Santorum, Gingrich, and Romney
http://www.cnn.com/election/2012/primaries/state/al
Where “exactly” did these “Democrats” in AL vote for Santorum? When you look at the map, it’s clear that Santorum won virtually everwhere Huckabee did, and that Gingrich carried vritually everywhere that McCain did. If you try to say that “Democrats” in Northern Alabama voted for Santorum, you might want to check out the County by County comparisons in Northern Alabama between how Bush did and how John McCain did. This was one of the few places in 2008 that McCain outperformed Bush and that in several places, Obama failed to match even Kerry’s vote total. So if Democrats in Northern AL did vote for Santorum, highly likely they are voting GOP in the General Election.

These are the facts.
Again. Proove me wrong. I dare you.
