State Sen. Jim Holperin, D-Conover, announced this afternoon that he won't seek re-election this fall.
"Politics and legislating are fascinating and fulfilling work and Ive enjoyed 20 years of it in the State Assembly, State Senate and as a cabinet secretary," Holperin said in a statement. "I wouldnt trade the experience for anything in the world, but now there are other things I want to do."
With the recall elections looming and Rep. Sen. Pam Galloway already having resigned her seat two weeks ago, Democrat Fleabagger Jim Holperin throws in the towel.
He's from a Republican area so this is huge (in an optimistic way).
Right now the senatorial poll around the entire country are trending pubbie, in such a way, that this election can become a landslide of epic proportions.
One can hope for change, hey buddy can you spare a dime?
So . . . the rowing is getting a little tough?
Right on. The sense of things from the Wisconsin conservatives and Republicans is that they will have a few struggles but that Walker will prevail, and so will most of the Senators facing recall. People in the more conservative areas of the state realize that the reforms are making a positive difference, jobs are coming back, and the idiots who protested in the Capitol don’t represent anyone (like the chick who bike-padlocked her HEAD to a railing in the Capitol building).
They also feel that other Democrat-controlled states are watching Wisconsin, and if Walker stays in office there will be a flood of similar legislation in other states.
Given all that - having a RAT state senator who is not from a “protected district” hang it up is potentially a really big deal.
Time to open a bottle of Miller to celebrate.
Wisconsin Rat Fleebagger Senator does not seek re-election ping
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Didn’t we try to recall him last summer?
Thanks for donating to help save my state.
I also help those so unfairly recalled by cry baby sore loser liberals here in WI.
We must win these recalls, as we must defeat Hussein.
Goodbye Jim! I’m sure you have some cushy hack job lined up for yourself after 20 years of feeding at the public trough.
He blocked huge new mining projects, passing away from permits, reviews, environmental impacts, which have nearly destroyed any interest in our ecomony. Now, the miners have moved on. Job well done, rats really hate this great country
