Fear for your life ~ when you've been ambushed and you are far enough away you take cover. The doctrine says if you are within the killing range no matter what you do the correct action is to attack!

Been that way since close quarters combat was invented.

Zimmerman should have realized he was hunting a human being, and that can always be dangerous. I suspect he thought Martin was going to duck into a friend's house ~

Congrats on your turning back my personal experience to support Trayvon as victim. I, of course, was taking the part of Zimmerman. What now has to be ascertained, is the state of mind of the two people in this unnecessary tragedy. No matter what, Zimmerman's life has maybe changed forever. The family of Trayvon more so.

I hope "wiser heads will prevail" and the political opportunists are not allowed to cause more innocent people to die.
