Why is that? So that we don’t know what the other side is doing in order that we might fight against it? Should all “responsible citizens” just ignore what is going on and let the evil people just have their way while the “responsible citizens” stick their head in the sand?
You assume that in order to “know what’s going on” we need to watch TV. Tv has a calming effect which actually put the viewer in an “alpha wave state,” which makes then less responsive to critical thought. So Tv advertisers and infotainment people take advantage of that and play on emotion. Yesterday I was away from home and saw CNN or MSNBC and they had Jesse Jackson on for most of an hour. But aside from the effect of TV on our intellects we shouldn’t be paying for the “honor” of hearing their tripe. You can find it online if you really want to.
