First nobody was talking at all about Saint Rick until after the three meaningless cauci he won unopposed. And second when is it a lie to quote someone’s own words.

“when is it a lie to quote someone’s own words.”

Santorum NEVER said he preferred Obama to Romney or that he wouldn't support Romney. Santorum made an insightful point that if the choice is between Obama and someone who is almost exactly the same as Obama voters may choose Obama.

The point that a Democrat can beat someone who is a pale imitation is true and the same sentiment has been expressed by Ronald Reagan and many others.

Wrong.

Palin predicts Santorum’s rise in Iowa (12-02-2011)

“He’s been consistent in wanting to protect the most vulnerable and the sanctity of life, he’s been consistent in saying we need to slash the federal income tax,” she said, in an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, also listing Santorum’s stance on Iran. “People will start paying attention to some of these other messages from some of these other messagers like Rick Santorum.”
