The role of neighborhood watch is not to confront people. He added that himself. The watch is about watching and reporting. Nothing else. There is no armed patroling or confronting suspects.

There is no evidence that he confronted him. There is evidence, however, that he watched him. If you have seen a photo of the complex, it is a gated condo community, with the condo buildings in parallel with each other not on the street. So, if Martin had walked off the sidewalk and around the corner between the condos, then Zimmerman would have had to get out to further WATCH him and relay direction of travel and further info to the dispatcher.

No where in the call (not a 911 call, but a non-emergency number,which is what you are supposed to use when reporting suspicious activity) is it audible that Zimmerman says anyhting (confronts) Martin. Also, no evidence that he was brandishing his weapon. Finally, there are no statutes that state someone with a legal CWP can not be a patrolling member of a neighborhood watch, that would be unconstitutional. But then, as others have stated, getting rid of concealed carry is more than likely the ultimate agenda of the MSM et al.
