You mean like Joe the Plumber? I'll bet Media Matters was part of that pile on and had no compunction about digging through his personal finances and publicly humiliating him for the crime of asking Obama a question.

I think the bizarre circus of public attention attracts people that are willing to be exposed and humiliated just for the sense of importance that comes with controversy and having their name known by more than five people.

I would also that if a person was going to be a prop their story would be a bit more more related to reality but a little examination and the “narrative” falls to pieces like the frail tissue it is.

If I'm going to be lied to at least have the respect for me to make it believable on some level.
