I can see why the media is trying to spin this. I just listened to all the 911 calls, or at least the eight that they have been made public. If there are more, I'm not aware of them. Seven of the calls are from residents and one is from Zimmerman. Without exception, all of the calls made by residents describe hearing a man calling for help and then one single gunshot. The most interesting call though is from Zimmerman himself. He doesn't sound racist, angry or unreasonable. While he is on the phone describing what he perceives to be a suspicious person, Martin, who by this time notices Zimmerman, starts coming towards him while Zimmerman is still in his truck, then at some point, Martin starts to run. That's when you hear Zimmerman get out of his truck and start to pursue him, at which point the 911 dispatcher suggests he not do so. By this time Martin is gone and out of sight with Zimmerman saying "he ran." You can tell by listening to tape that Zimmerman stopped pursuing Martin and is probably heading back toward his truck. One can probably assume that the confrontation between Zimmerman and Martin happened shortly thereafter.
There is nothing to suggest that Zimmerman made first contact, let alone confronted or even approached Martin. In fact, one might reasonably assume that Martin became the predator at this point. Knowing that he was being watched, he quickly ducked for cover with the intent of turning the tables on Zimmerman and outflanking him, taking him by surprise.

They are spreading the lie that Zimmerman used a racial slur. They are claiming he’s white when he’s hispanic. All racial lies to inflame the lefty racists. They did this to the Duke players, too. They really persecuted those innocent boys.
