The epicenter is 100 miles WSW of Oaxaca.
Acapulco is about 220 miles west, northwest of Oaxaca. I have been to both places, and Mexico City is roughly the same distance from each to the east and north. I was in a 7.5 in Mexico City in 1957. It was quite an experience, and about 170 people died, most when an apartment collapsed because of graft in construction.
