I arrived in Denver 1967, Floyd Little's rookie year. Became a Bronco fan early on and attended my first game (preseason) in 1968. Became a Bronco season ticket holder in 1977 & 35 years later I still have the same seats.
Peyton Manning coming to the Broncos will go down as a memorable moment in Bronco history ... no question.
Hopefully it works out in a positive fashion for Peyton and his new team the Denver Broncos. John Elway has a lot at stake as well ... I'm sure he would endorse my sentiments.
My hat is off to John Elway for pulling out all the stops to make this happen. I really didn't think the Broncos could get him.
Elway understands what is needed to compete at a Super Bowl level versus just a playoff spot level. Nothing against Tim Tebow - I like the guy and think he's an asset to the team - but when one of the best QB's to play the game comes on the free agent market it's a once in a generation opportunity.
This could erase several mistakes from the McDaniel era.
