Before a single person died in Auschwitz, Barcelona and the Communists in Spain had killed over 7,000 priests. Spain never sent Jewish people to concentration camps, but they killed a lot of Catholics (until Franco ended the war and stopped the killing - with the help of Muslim troop from Morocco).
