A toddler in a wheelchair is stopped by the TSA at ORD (O'Hare Airport in Chicago) and forced to into a sequestered area. On his way to a family vacation in Disney, this 3 year old boy is in a body cast for a broken leg. Despite assurances from his father that "everything is ok", he is physically trembling with fear while he watches his two siblings, mother, father, grandfather and grandmother pass through along with everyone else...only to be singled out.

This should not happen, but we let it.
Sometime soon I think it will be time to say enough and mean it.

Junior is going to be real ashamed of you when he's old enough to understand, not to mention angry. In about 10 years I'd begin sleeping with one eye open if I were you.

Every time my grandson has gotten on a plane (first time 18 months) he has been pulled aside for special checks, he is now 8. It pisses me off to no end.
I am sick of the TSA, ad wonder why there are not more incidences of parents going nuts.

This is why we have bomb sniffing dogs. Ask me about my son’s dog who lived with us for a year. She was trained to smell explosives, not some little child’s crotch.
My son was trained as a bomb-dog handler. He didn’t sniff a little kid’s crotch either, but he did disarm scores of Iraqi troops during the war and killed a few real terrorists who were trying to kill him and his squad.
It would have been nice if the TSA officer explained to the parents that terrorists have plans to use shaped explosives on the bodies of suicide bombers or their family members to bring down planes. It would have made the whole affair a lot easier for the parents to understand and then explain to the kids in less complicated terms.
Sometimes common sense is all you need, but with Janet Napolitano in charge of DHS, the only sense they have is “nonsense” or “no sense.”

Does the TSA actually stop people who are more obviously likely to be terrorists?
Or do they let them right through to avoid offending them?

He even thanks the asshat in the end. Whoa!
We are so programed to happily cooperate in our enslavement and abuse. They can harass our handicapped kids too! Grannies. Grandpas. Wives. Husbands. We’re all polite and happy faces.

I think that was ONLY for the benefit of his child. I’d bet on it...

I agree. But we have a dilemma; because it’s too late to work within the system and too early to start shooting.

One of these days an old lady, or a toddler in a wheel chair, is going to be packed full of explosives because everyone is too worried about offending the sensitive and politically correct and checking them.
