Unless the Democrats don't heavily “prank” the vote, Romney will take Illinois. They have one of the highest unemployment ratios in the Nation, and Santorum has zero experience in economics or Job creation.

This ain't the Bible Belt no mo’ Toto! Santo is too weak a candidate to hang our future on. Obama will eat him alive.

I have no illusions about the odds against Santorum in this upcoming Illinois primary fight. I just said “if.” Unless I’m mistaken, Santorum has proven three (four?) times this primary season to not count him out yet.

... and he still will do better in Illinois even in this scenario than Gingrich would have done. If Newt still wants to pin his hopes on a divided convention, he needs Romney to be held down here. Otherwise, that “inevitability” will start coming into play.
