I’m not up on what can and cannot be done by Executive Order but I’m pretty damn sure this is a ‘cannot’.

What is Congress doing to stop this crap? We did vote in a boatload of new guys in 2010, let’s get on them.

Congress has not stopped any of the kenyan’s extra and contra Constitutional acts, such as the recess appointments while Congress is still in session. Congress has already acceded to the New Order.

” I’m not up on what can and cannot be done by Executive Order but I’m pretty damn sure this is a ‘cannot’. “

Much of the language in this EO is cribbed straight from a number of pieces of legislation passed by Congress since 9/11/2001...

The ‘Legal Figleaf’ for this is that it merely consolidates and implements legislation already in place... (And, unfortunately, the courts would probably agree with this argument...)

The ‘man behind the curtain’ that we’re not supposed to pay attention to, is that all of this legislation, bad as the individual laws were individually, were never intended to be implemented all at once as one ‘umbrella’ policy...

We did it to ourselves, and now it’s turned around and bit us....
