George Clooney Arrested At Sudan Protest
3:24pm UK, Friday March 16, 2012 Police have arrested George Clooney during a protest outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington DC.
The actor, who is president of United to End Genocide, was arrested along with several Democrat politicians and other human rights and faith leaders for civil disobedience.
The campaigners were protesting the humanitarian emergency that is reportedly threatening the lives of 500,000 people.
After speaking on the steps of the embassy to hundreds of activists, members of Congress and activist leaders were asked by police to leave the scene. When they refused, police arrested them.
Clooney, his father, Nick and others, including Democratic politican Jim Moran of Virginia and civil rights leader Ben Jealous, were arrested after being warned three times not to cross a police line outside the embassy.
They were handcuffed and placed into a US Secret Service van.

And ****a your islamist slave holding buddies!
FUBO!
Please do. I’d sure be interested to know for sure!
I’m pretty sure I’m remembering it correctly and FReepers commented at the time that Bush had provided more funding for AIDS assistance in Africa than any other president but Loon Clooney wouldn’t mention that, of course.
His tone was totally scolding, I did hear the ad.
And now, we have Tom Hanks out shilling openly and in person for obama. Some commentator on FoxNews stated that nobody would not go see a Tom Hanks megahit because he was openingly supporting Obama.
I beg to differ....
I don't give a whit about Clooney.
The African continent is nothing but a cesspool of violent death. I've watched the coverage for a long time. It is despicable that the US has stood back and allowed the genocide going on there. Innocents by the millions have been maimed and killed by the forces in play.
