The weakness is initially getting hoooked. Once hooked you are addicted. The brain chemistry actually changes. There’s plenty of science noting real physical changes in the body of people addicted. It’s not that they are not responsible for their own actions, sober or not. Just stating that physical changes are real and do happen in people who are hooked on many different kinds of substances.
