First I've heard of that. I say let him. Then we can put a Hellfire up his ass and be done with it.
“Pashtuns dont care about our justice system. They dont even care about the Afghan government; they want blood for blood. We are being drawn into a feud.”
From the article.
With Obama’s insane foreign policy, and I do MEAN insane, this is no surprise. Under these circumstances with this Usurper heading this unconstitutional government, the best thing that can be done, I fear, is to get our forces out. ASAP
War is violent and the Muslim understands this and so can be as violent as necessary to achieve their goals and objectives.
Our leaders may know that war is violent, but not understand it to be so. That’s why they have this unreasonable expectation that we go in there, destroy infrastructure, then build it back up for them and expect them to love us for it.
Afghanistan should have never been about Nation building. It should have been strictly punitive and then a treaty of forced occupation via 99 year leases concentrated at some location within Afghanistan.
America needs Obama out of office and America out of Afghanistan.
Just soak their poppy fields with RoundUp and bring the boys back home.
Much of this is George Bush's fault:
Forcing a sham democracy upon a corrupt, dysfunctional society was probably the biggest mistake, & mirrors the failed effort in Vietnam.
Engaging in an endless war with no victory strategy & the unwillingness to attack the enemy wherever it is found (Pakistan) for political reasons, is the same stalemate position we found ourselves in, in Vietnam.
Restrictive ROEs are another mistake. The entire population of Afghanistan is not worth the life of one US soldier. Yet our soldiers are hamstrung into using dangerous ground tactics to find/attack the enemy.
Hearts & Minds, too, is a failed policy, as in Vietnam. In both countries, Afghanistan & Vietnam, the US is seen as another hated invader. These people are no more interested in converting to a democracy than the USA is interested in converting to a cannibalism.
It is easy to predict the end of this farce. The US will pull out in exhaustion & shame, same as Vietnam. The Taleban will take over & al_Qaeda will be back to claim all the expensive hardware we leave behind.
All we will have to show for it will be the many lost & destroyed lives of our soldiers, & probably a trillion dollars wasted; in exchange for a few thousand dead terrorists, who have already be replaced by others.
Are American Presidents the only fools in history who have bought into this bad bargain, repeatedly?
There is only one way to win a war: Beat down the enemy brutally until he surrenders or dies. Note that neither democracy nor Hearts & Minds is a part of that statement.
Unless it’s a new policy there, the NY Daily News doesn’t have to be excerpted.
