Your own exhibit of “validator or oblitor 570 shows a 4 digit yr stamp, and it is also shown in the engineering drawings I linked to. Is it not the closest to the postmark on Obamas SS registration? It is round not oval, it contains month day year and PO location.

Why you want to check us to check with people we dont know amazes me, you are making the claim not that they had 2 year date stamps or that there were individual digits not 4 digit inserts...you check if you know these people. Check with a window clerk supervisor from 1980 who stamped the SS registrations. I know the answer and you refuse to accept it. Prove me wrong, please.

Now please show me 2 round date stamps/postmarks that have only 2 digit year on them. No one else has come up with any but Obama’s. Also explain how the validator RDS could only stamp 2 digits (no baby powder please or do they deliver babies in the PO also?)

And you never answered if you wanted to accept my friendly chance to get $100 donated to FR, but you keep insisting anyone could have filled out Obies SS registration and it could have been at other than a post office. Wrong.

You just keep wiggling and squirming out of your WAG (wild a$$ guess). You claim you want Obie out of office more than anyone else, why do you keep posting disinformation that benefits him?

There are FOUR items displayed in the POM, not just ONE. I did an actual survey by inquiring of selected post offices throughout the country regarding what their round dates looked like when applied by any of the various devices they had on hand.

I got hundreds of different items in, and found only those more typical of the lot than every possible item.

So what are you talking about? Are you disputing what I put in that manual?

I think your problem is you imagine every post office everywhere in the country does everything exactly the same way with exactly the same equipment.

They don't ~ and that's a problem. There are variations. Let's use APCs for one. I developed the designs for the first 24 APCs. The POD Transportation department purchased them. We put them to work immediately and displaced 24 people.

That's an incredible ROI. The APCs turned into a series of regional designs ranging from the ERMC to to things without names, but they all had the same wheels ~ kinda. I always kept an eye on that on my travels, and my original design specs were pretty close but people would buy wheels as much as 1/2 inch larger or 1/2 inch smaller ~ INTOLERABLE!!!

When I retired there were well over 1,000,000 APCs or very similar items. Keep the wheels on them and they can work for centuries.

Now, regarding what was available for year date inserts, your experience in one place in USPS is simply not determinantive. Somebody needs to do a survey ~ find out what they actually used (not just what one spec said to use).
