You might want to review what postal technology was being used at the time this particular round stamp device was current. I’ve seen millions of them ~ literally ~ and doing audits on mailings I simply disregarded their presence. There was no evidentiary value that’d attract a court’s notice. After all, the device wasn’t controlled and secure. Having a different date from the written material really doesn’t mean anything. LIES were usually surfaced through arithmetic errors.
Are you trying to tell us that the post office couldnt hand cancel certified mail or hand cancel regular mail with their round date stamp since 2010? Oh my what to do with all my subsequent certified receipts with hand cancelled round red date stamps???
Date of mailing via postmark is accepted by most courts for legal purposes if the letter is received within 5 days(first class) of the postmark.
If it was not valid, why did they do it?
