Mitt Romney will be the nominee. The GOP decided that long ago and they will be sure that is exactly what happens. If it is a Brokered Convention, they will state Romney has the most delegates and he will get the nod.

So there is no real harm in a brokered convention, is there?

The worst that can happen is they shove the same RINO down our throats that they were going to shove down our throats all along.

And there is always the possibility that they might not get their way, since the very fact that there is a brokered convention means they have lost control of the situation.

The harm, obviously, is that the GOP is running against itself for several months instead of running against Obama. Beyond that, there's the money issue, which I've mentioned before.

The political wonk in me would like to see a brokered convention because it hasn't happened in decades and it would be interesting. The rational person inside me knows that a brokered convention is idiotic and harms the GOP's chances to win.
