You should have seen the explosive influx in the late 80s-early 90s. I used to live in upstate NY and often traveled to Burlington for medical reasons. The northern route via rouses Point and the Southern through Port Henry used to be a drive filled with Rockwell style countryside. In just a few years the development of what was once farmland was mindblowing and that Rockwell started to resemble Escher.
Wasn’t hardcore righties moving in either....And UVM is pretty much East Ithica campus.

Yep, it started in the late 60’s. It only took 20 years to ruin the state.
