Possibly because he’s an exceptionally good candidate? He’s worked harder than anyone else with less money than anyone else as well. Maybe the voters who meet him face to face actually like him and like his positions?
Or, I suppose we could go with the prevailing view on the Left that GOP voters are toothless idiots, etc.
Not saying that at all just that the tactics of the left (including Romney) aren't really working with Santorum. Must be devastating to GOPe & Dems.
