In a sign of possible frayed nerves in the military, U.S. Marines were asked to lay down their weapons today before entering a tent where Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was scheduled to speak.
It happened in Helmand province, after Panetta had met with tribal elders in nearby villages, assuring them that the U.S. mission was on track. The unusual order comes within days of an attack by a U.S. staff sergeant on unarmed Afghan civilians that left 16 dead and enraged Afghans.
The 200 Marines were inside a tent at Camp Leatherneck along with Afghan guards and troops from other countries waiting for Panetta to arrive when they were told abruptly by Sgt. Major Brandon Hall to exit the tent, leave their weapons elsewhere, and return unarmed.
It's an unusual break from protocol since Marines are expected to be armed at all times.

IMHO......Panetta should be afraid of his own troops!!! Worst Secretary of Defense in the history of the country. My heart and soul pray for all our fine military men and women, who are operating without leadership and direction from POTUS Obama, Panetta and Obama’s military leaders. Our troops in harms way are being used as cannon fodder, while Obama and his traitor ilk work feverishly to destroy America!!!
I cannot imagine what a mother and father go through when they find out their son or daughter has been slain needlessly, while Obama fiddles away our precious military folks, for the benefit of his re-election. Folks, read what Hitler did with German troops in WWII and you will see how Obama and Panetta are doing the exact same thing!!!

Comes to find out, an interpreter grabbed a humvee and tried to crash Panetta’s plane as it landed.
Bad neighborhood, time to go.
Anytime you have a mixed group of friendlies and locals meeting a friendly VIP, the friendlies disarm to prevent locals, whom may not be vetted, from disarming a friendly and attacking the VIP.
How so?
Enemies foreign and high level domestic.

What a slap in the face.
Maybe next Ubama will tell the Marines to wear pink ribbons in honor of “gay pride”.
