Santorum is the projected winner in Alabama, gradually increasing a 5% lead, 12,000 vote margin over runner-up Newt Gingrich.
Mississippi remains too close to call and is very much a three way race with Santorum still clinging to a narrow lead.

Just like many of his supporters, santorum is a sanctimonious, two faced, big government rino. The dumbing down of American is now complete. In a question of trust, I certainly trust mitt over santorum. At least mitt will look you in the eye as he screws you. santorum will stab you in the back.
Bingo .
We have a bitter Romneybot alert !
Odd how you spit out all the talking points of the left and the dem party media machine .
Nonsense. 60% of the Republican voters don’t want Romney. If Newt splits that 60%, Romney gets 40% and wins in the winner-take-all big states coming up.
This is a crap argument. It shows that at heart, many of Newt’s supporters are more anti-Santorum than they are anti-Romney. If Romney is so all-fired non-conservative, why hand him the nomination, unless out of animus against the other conservative?
You sound just a tad sanctimonious yourself. Takes one to know one, I guess.
“Just like many of his supporters, santorum is a sanctimonious, two faced, big government rino. “
Hell, I’m a Socialist because I have problem with our (Texas) governor giving away our freeways to private companies for tolling, with monopoly protection (hello...crony Capitalism anyone?...hello).
I remember Santorum’s 12 years in the US Senate, and the ONLY time he’s EVER been called a RINO was when he started running for President. Before that he was simply a reliable conservative vote on key issues.
Simple answer maybe for simple minded, Newt never, they would move to da Bushes before they let that happen.
“If Im Newt, now Im thinking of getting out and supporting mitt. “
Then why not Colon Bowell? I mean if we’re going to want to run a Republican who despises the base of the party, it might as well be a black, who will at least have a chance of peeling off the amount of Dems needed to win (since the conservatives will stay home for either of them).
In which case, we will end up with Mittens. Newt isn’t going to win in a brokered convention. Some of Newt’s supporters are starting to sound like Ron Paulbots. Scary stuff!
“If you call voting against “Right to Work” conservative, I guess you can count on santorum.”
If you call sitting on a couch next to Pelosi being conservative (along with a dozen other stupid things), you might as well support Newt. If you consider implementing gay marriage conservative, you might as well support Romney.
I guess we still have Ron Paul...
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.
“And what legislation was passed because of this? The only effect it had was to bunch your panties up between your legs. Not quite like going out and campaigning for the deciding vote for obumber care, is it. Because that is what santorum did when he campained for spector. “
Nice try. We HAVE Cap-and-Trade, or at least carbon-based EPA regulations PRECISELY because Newt gave the Democrats credibility on the issue (which was enough for the Supreme Court to side with Obama). As far as Spector is concerned, I don’t have a big problem with supporting a Republican that personally cleared the path to get Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, but then maybe you do (Thomas only got on by two votes as it was, he would not have had a chance without Specter’s support)...
“LOL, I see. Newt is responsible for the action of the EPA, but santorum is completely blameless for the votes of spector.”
No, like I said, I blame Santorum for Thomas being on the Supreme Court, just like I blame the other RINOs who voted for Thomas. The country would be much better off with more liberals on the Supreme Court.
