I can’t imagine the mass hysteria that would ensue if Conyers lost to Anderson (who is White).

Southfield back when it was largely Jewish/Catholic voted for Dukakis by 5000 votes so it's not been Republican in ages. Fracassi stayed on because mayor is "non-partisan."

Southfield was majority black when Fracassi lost as mayor. I am surprised that Fracassi is back and surprised Sylvia Jordan (a known Republican) is there as well. Council is actually majority white in a now 70% black city.

Justin Amash needs to go, too.

Is he the Ron Paul acolyte from MI?

The hysteria will happen if Peters and Anderson win, or even Lawrence and Anderson win, because Lawrence isn't in Detroit.

A good friend of mine from college is a consultant and blogger. He thinks it's possible Anderson will take it. I'm not as optimistic, but he knows his stuff.

I always like to point it out—Schwartz was endorsed by Karl Rove and the national GOP establishment every step of the way. That was the specific nail that forever doomed my associating with party politics.

I haven’t forgotten Schwarz bragging about having been endorsed by John McCain and George Bush right before he lost to Walberg. This vendetta that Schwarz carries on against Walberg has gone on longer than Schwarz held the seat.

As far as Walberg is concerned, he’s taken a few votes I’m not thrilled with but overall he is a spending cutter. I have a feeling he’ll be a more effective congressman if he can get beyond the “freshman” class.

ALL of them endorsed that jackwagon.

Even the NRA endorsed his re-election, and anyone who follows the issue knows that the Schwarz is not with the 2nd Amendment.

Often support for gun rights is not necessary to secure the support of the NRA. Odd.

Kate Upton is his niece? Wow.

I’m ashamed to say I would vote for her uncle in exchange for her favors. ;p It’s not like he’s a democrat.

I don’t live in MI though so that’s irrelevant, I hope he loses to Hoogendyk, there’s a good Dutch name.

I just found the other day that actor Zach Galifianakis is a nephew NC liberal Nick Galifianakis. I thought to myself, that can’t be a common name, he’s probably related.

Unfortunalty Amash he doesn’t have a primary challenger. Filing deadline is in May so there is still time.

Carnahan may as well as run for his sister’s current job for all the chance he has of returning to the House.

What scares me is that Amash has a strong democrat running against him. Steve Pestka isn't a joke. Luckily, Pestka has a challenge from his left in the primary from a gay guy.

Kate Upton = Sexytime love explosions.

(Thanks, Borat!)

Zach Galifianakis - several of my friends call me “Alan” his character from The Hangover flicks. And, no, I don’t look anything like him or vice versa.
