*******

Occidental College records and Social Security application form: Did the reporter have the courage to ask candidate Obama if and when he was going to release his Occidental College in California records and his Social Security application form so that we can find out how Hawaiian teenager Obama ended up with a Connecticut designated Social Security number?

I guess not.

"Tackles Tough Topics" -- what a joke. Another LSM hack in the pocket of Obama. You want to hold a tough conversation about what ails the nation? Then sit down for a talk with Palin. Take your pick, Mr. Namby Pamby...

Let’s Talk About the Real Issues, Mr. President

“Meanwhile, a big issue on the minds of voters is the skyrocketing price of gas. Obama referred to the phrase, “there’s no magic bullet.” The president said any politician who says there is one is not being truthful.

There IS a magic bullet.

I'm definitely not a "big government" advocate, but in this case, I think government and business have teamed up to keep energy prices high.

If so, here's the magic bullet to make them accountable:

The U.S. Government leases large oil and gas properties to energy producers on a cost plus basis. The producers are guaranteed a fixed profit per barrel; in exchange they cannot sell on the open market, only to U.S. refineries.

U.S. refineries are required to prioritize oil products produced under this program so domestic oil is refined and sold before foreign oil. I suggest that due to it's lower cost, domestic oil will be given priority throughout the distribution chain.

Futures trading on domestic oil is prohibited. The law of supply and demand has a chance of prevailing.

Finally, it's OUR oil and we have lots. Let's produce, distribute and enjoy it!

Oh but there is, Barack.

It's you.

And once we fire you, everything will get much better.

(I may have heard that somewhere before)

"The bigger driver of these gas prices is speculation of war in the Middle East, which is why we've been trying to reduce loose talk about a war there," Obama said.

Wait, didn't he say just recently that the problem was the normal late winter/spring "spike" in gas prices? ( due to more travel and depleted supplies. (from making more fuel oil during the winter, although I doubt O understands the supply/demand considerations)

If one lie doesn't work, try another.

If “The nation now exports more crude than it imports, reducing dependence on foreign oil,” why do we not stop exporting and ELIMINATE our dependence on foreign oil? Seems like it would make the cost much lower if the cost of shipping it around the world was eliminated.
