Wow, Steyn was terrible debating that liberal Chiropractor from California. I have never heard him so weak. That guy left plenty of holes in his argument, and Steyn kept missing them. Terrible.
I caught that segment of the show, and I concur completely. Steyn is a much better writer than he is a debater or talk show host. He tries too hard to be witty and sometimes fails to realize that some things need to be addressed and dealt with directly and seriously.
Plus, his repeated references to "Bob" were just silly - with his background as a music and drama critic he should have at least used a "Princess Bride-Inigo Montoya" reference that "I do not think that word means what you think it does" response.

I listen on Podcast delay. I came here to see if anyone else thought that Steyn missed a great opportunity. He flubbed it badly.
