Surely it cant hurt Mitt Romneys heretofore nonexistent blue collar appeal to have a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour endorse him.
Grammy-award-winning comedian Jeff Foxworthy, known for his popular You might be a redneck if series, tweeted his support for Romney yesterday.
Time for Republicans to unite behind Gov. Romney, a great leader who can win the White House and rebuild our economy for all Americans, the funnyman, known for telling redneck jokes, tweeted on Thursday.
Romneys son Tagg called the nod very cool on Twitter, writing, I am a huge Blue Collar Comedy fan.

Foxworthy done lost my respect.
This will hurt Foxworthy a lot more than it will help Romney.
I'm not sure how much it helps Foxworthy, though.
The rationalization for Romney being the GOP-e nominee has changed. First it was he’s the ‘inevitable’ candidate and when he wasn’t embraced hook, line and sinker within the first 3 primaries, there was some floundering going on until .... they are spinning his unpopularity now as a ‘lack of unity’. The new meme is “this fighting among the three candidates is divisive so let’s unify behind Romney”. I heard Foxworthy spouting the propaganda on the morning news shows.
GOP-e wrong again .... it’s not a lack of ‘unity’ so much as it’s a lack of willingness among most Conservatives to have Romney crammed down our throats by the GOP-e, just as Obama crammed Obamacare down our throats. Obama should be a lameduck candidate .... however, the GOP-e is stuck on stupid and determined to lose yet another election with the ONE candidate who’s primary difference from Obama is the color of his skin.
Hey Jeff: Heeeeer’s your sign!
You can't fix stupid!
Hey, is that Maxwell with Mitt?
see how stupit I am? I posted it twice!
Foxworthy found a lucrative schtick poking fun, (in an over-the-top Southern accent), at low income laborers, farmhands and hunters. He is none of them - unlike many Jewish comedians who gained a following by self-deprecation and love of their culture with all of its foibles.
Foxworthy has once again insulted his targets by appealing to the elites who are his true fan base.
I’m not fooled.
Asking a comedian to carry your political water for you is an interesting strategy.
Hey, Jeff - “Heeeere’s your sign...”
The response to that is supposed to be "but you can vote it out" ...... the problem is we've been doing a piss poor job of voting out the RINOs & Progs & even an arrogant blankety-blank like Obama got voted in .... so I don't hold out much hope for voting out 'stupid' in time enough to made a difference.
(racks rifle) Pork chops.
LOL
