Romney’s Blunt problem with the pro-life movement

"I have received numerous e-mails over the last 36 hours asking if Mitt Romney really flip-flopped on his support of the Blunt Amendment, a motion to re-establish employers’ religious freedom over health insurance coverage. He did not, despite frantic coverage of his answer to a confusingly worded question from an Ohio reporter. But his reply signals that pro-lifers have a far deeper problem with the Republican presidential hopeful: he’s disengaged from our issues, dismissive of our concerns, and disinclined to give us the time of day..."

Is Romney the best candidate for our future president? I think we can do better and now, during the primaries, is our only chance to help make that happen.

God save America!

Romney’s biggest problem is that not even his supporters seem to like him very much, and the people that don’t like him detest him.

I really don’t have much confidence at this point.

This is the same Mitt Romney who ran to the LEFT of the pro-abortionist (dead Fat Teddy), the same liberal sack o' shit who said this past January the following:

“Today marks the 39th anniversary of one of the darkest moments in Supreme Court history, when the court in Roe v. Wade claimed authority over the fundamental question regarding the rights of the unborn. The result is millions of lives since that day have been tragically silenced. Since that day, the pro-life movement has been working tirelessly in an effort to change hearts and minds and protect the weakest and most vulnerable among us. Today, we recommit ourselves to reversing that decision, for in the quiet of conscience, people of both political parties know that more than a million abortions a year cannot be squared with the good heart of America.”

Pretty words. Inspiring words. Let's scroll back a bit further to 2002, courtesy of 'race42012.com':

Mitt Romney was firm and direct with the abortion rights advocates sitting in his office nine years ago, assuring the group that if elected Massachusetts governor, he would protect the state’s abortion laws.

Then, as the meeting drew to a close, the businessman offered an intriguing suggestion — that he would rise to national prominence in the Republican Party as a victor in a liberal state and could use his influence to soften the GOP’s hard-line opposition to abortion.

He would be a “good voice in the party” for their cause, and his moderation on the issue would be “widely written about,” he said, according to detailed notes taken by an officer of the group, NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts.

“You need someone like me in Washington,” said Romney making similar assurances to activists for gay rights and the environment, according to people familiar with the discussions, both as a candidate for governor and then in the early days of his term.

Say there Mitt-Witt?

That's pretty scary stuff; and it seems to stack with his attitude towards the pro life movement in the primaries. He seems to be "banking" on the pro life vote as already his, taking it for granted, and just tossing out an occasional salt & pepper pro life statement to give conservative flavor to his compaign when, in fact, he really doesn't seem to take it to heart. Abortion is killing off our unborn and morally destroying America!!!
