Exemption from a law that never should have passed to begin with is an act of complicity with evil.

Exemption from a law that never should have passed to begin with is an act of complicity with evil. Or at least it's a sign of weak-mindedness.
The Catholic Bishops have the opportunity to use their high media profile to explain why no employer, insurer, or insured should have to surrender his or her medical care decisions to Darth Sebelius or her successors, ever ... but as far as I can tell, they're not making the point or are completely unaware of it.

(Maybe it IS about contraception. Read "Planned Parenthood v. Casey" decision, 1992.)

I'm with y'all. The Bishops should and could be saying that the whole law is unacceptable because it violates subsidiarity, which is the indispensible element of Catholic Social Justice doctrine which upholds the personal liberty/private responsibility interest, protects the richness and diversity of civil society ("intermediate institutions" as contrasted to the State) and stands against tyranny.
But no. They act like they never heard of it.
Who catechizes these catechists?
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
