Rick Santorum suggested that the Republican presidential field is shrinking to just two candidates.
Santorum's comments come as he and his supporters increasingly suggest that the former Pennsylvania senator would benefit from Newt Gingrich dropping out.
"So we feel pretty good that it's now narrowing to a two-person race," Santorum said in an interview with Bloomberg TV set to air Friday. "We've been competitive."

Here in AL someone is running ads against Newt that talk about his getting fined $300k for House ethics violations. I assume it’s a Romney PAC of some sort but maybe it’s Santorum. Whoever it is, it’s pretty disgusting, and it’s got me ready to crawl over broken glass to vote for Newt on Tuesday. The only Newt ad I’ve heard is a montage of various folksy sounding folks saying stuff. In the first half of the ad they say stuff like Mitt is a flip-flopper (”I don’t know where Romney stands”) and is out of touch (”not the type to pump his own gas”), then in the second half they praise Newt (”he’ll stand up for our beliefs”, “Newt is smart..we need smart”).
that was the filth that willard used in florida, the line was Newt resigned in disgrace. It is horrible. There should be an outcry against that ad, it is so outrageous.
They are real christian right, and that was the only reason they backed Santorum. As though his Christianity & morals on social issues were going to change the ECONOMY in the slightest. That is all the man has, after that he is vacant.
So, Bro decided that was not enough for this election. We need a fighter like NEWT who knows how to pack the punch.
Newts past problems, Forgiven. If we don't get the Economy back on track and in the right direction there will be nothing left of America to worry about.
Lets tackle the social issues later. However the American people are just to far down the drain and breeding more like themselves, to speak about moral issues is redicilous in an election. There is no law that will MAKE people moral. You either ARE or ARE NOT. That's called parenting. I don't need a Presidential Preacherman.
Newt is advancing into the first leg of his Southern Strategy - MS and Alabama. This may be the most critical time since the campaign started. He MUST win both of these states to continue on successfully. Please, this weekend, and through Monday, try to make as many calls as you can into both of those states.
I was on the ground in SC, on the phones, and door to door. There were almost 10,000 calls made in SC the last 2 weeks... and the last 2 or 3 days, you could feel the momentum changing on the phones... Earlier, it was maybe 2 Newts out of 10, and by the day before the vote, it was 8 out of 10 for Newt. You could feel the change, and it happened very quickly in the final 72 hours. Newt went out of his way to salute the phone call and grassroots efforts in SC... please... please... there is still time to call for Newt, and get involved for Newt...

Steyn, for one. I was totally surprised to see a recent piece of his in which he mocked Gingrich for all his ready-made policy answers for everything, his “plans”. I actually wasn’t able to read the whole thing, it was so unexpected. For him, this was a WEAK point of Gingrich’s. He was a fan of Bachmann’s as I remember.
If Santorum drops out, it is all over. If two of every three Santorum voters switch to Newt, rather than go to Romney or drop out of voting, Gingrich would still trail Romney in the polls. 14G + 20 (of S’s 27) = 34. Romney is at 37.
Two thirds of Newt’s polled voters switching to Santorum would put Santorum barely ahead, at which point the 11 point group that keeps swinging to the person who appears best able to beat Obama would likely switch back to him.
Steyn has been over-the-top against Gingrich since day one, I think he is just getting desperate or maybe he has said about every negative thing he could about Newt. I truly believe Rush has him on to do his antiNewt dirty work.
Newt is just a SMART genius, and I want smart. What do people want, for him to hide his smarts under a barrel?

Actually, Newt got more bound delegates in Tennessee than Rick did. Rick had no slated delegates here.

Bishop Willard is emphasizing Newt’s ‘baggage’ while touting the god-sperm’s own moral excellence. He is also attempting to portray Newt as a pro-abortion accomodationist, a Green kook, and a Big Washington Insider.
His smears on Santorum are much the same, trying to paint him as pro-abortion, without core convictions and a moral coward because of his compromises in DC.
These are per the radio spots. I don’t have a TV, and would promptly execute one if I did.

The only one Ssntorum's presence in this campaign season benefits is Barack Obama.

Romney is one of the most revolting indidviduals to ever run for political office. I don’t know what will become of this country if our only choices are between him and current reprobate occupying the White House.

The radio spots I heard that tracked that way were from the inanely named “Winning Back Our Future” PAC, which is Bishop Willard’s creature.

Well that’s a first. Of everything said about Newt, staying on message is his best attribute. He never, never lets anyone interrupt him, change the subject or allow someone to get the best of him. Sorry, but can’t let you clump Gingrich in with Santorum on this topic. Rick owns that alone.
Agree on all points. I cannot and will not vote for such vile men as Lightworker Hussein or Bishop Willard. I do not expect much of any politician, but I will -not- knowingly assist an evil man’s ascent to power.
