Of course, we all know he backed Specter but that not because of Specter’s pro-abortion but in spite of them BECAUSE Specter was tapped to be the next Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and conservatives needed Specter to push pro-life judges like Roberts and Alito. Sheesh, you guys need to do more than go to selective quotes and anti-Santorum websites.

If Specter had lost, Cornyn was next in line, who didn’t want it because he had his eyes set on another committee. And after Cornyn, it was Kyle - not sure of the spelling. Check the facts out.

In 1996 Santorum was supporting the Presidential run of Specter, running on a platform to make the GOP a pro-abortion party, because in 2005 He would be Chair of the Judicial Committee?

Actually Senator Santorum would have known him as the man who stopped Bork. That was done during the Reagan presidency, when Santorum was anti-Reagan, and considered Reagan supporters as “fringe”.

“His opposition to Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork in 1987 is seen as an important factor in the nomination’s failure.”

Evidently you are ignoring post 115. This was a Presidential race, not a Senate race.

Here is video of Senator Santorum on stage with Arlen Specter, as Specter is announcing his Presidential run, based on making the GOP a pro-abortion party, Rick Santorum endorsed him, and campaigned for him.
