The Obamacare Shellacking

Democratic support for President Obama’s controversial health care overhaul may have single-handedly caused the party’s historic “shellacking” in the 2010 mid-term elections, a new study finds.

The study was conducted by a group of political science professors and published this week by American Politics Research. It found that, had it not been for the health care law, House Democrats likely would have held at least 25 seats and maintained their majority.

You have to admire how Pelosi and Obama were able to get all these Democrats to be cannon fodder. Plus one might add these Dmeocrats who voted yes knowing they were risking their careers put achieving a Progressive dream going back decades over said careers. Of course, I am sure the Liberal establishment found cushy K Street jobs for those who ealked the plank. A good warning about when media hacks and the schizenphronia voter laments the lack of "leadership" in politicians. The country would of been better off if these politicans were gutless.

The experts finally figured it out

obamacare = Democrat destroying machine

We already took a lot of Dems down, or they retired like Stupak.
Who is DemocRAT still standing who voted for Obamacare?
We need to hold those people to account in 2012

Senator McCaskill Missouri
Bill Nelson Florida
Bob Casey Pennsylvania

I think it is unfair to have a major piece of legislation pass
and then within 4 years have every single rep. get defeated or retire.

That means something was wrong.

The political nightmare that became Obama Care, should have been investigated by the House Unamerican Activities Committee, if we had one.

Under the mandate of Public Law 601, passed by the 79th Congress, the committee of nine representatives investigated suspected threats of subversion or propaganda that attacked “the form of government guaranteed by our Constitution.”

Obamacare was certainly part of the 2010 “shellacking”, perhaps as the article says, the pivotal issue.

But let’s remember that 2010 was the first opportunity to express our displeasure at a lot of things that had occurred. The bank bailouts, the Detroit bailouts, the “stimulus” were thrown at us all at once, and this is what gave rise to the tea parties. Obamacare was merely salt in the wound that was already festering, due to the perception of an oppressive government run amok.

So I’m not so sure that without Obamacare voters wouldn’t still have had the verve to vote the rats out.

HUAC was undone years ago. The same law you sight (which was officially called the legislative reorganization act) also established a committee on Veterans affairs.

What is the Washington Free Beacon?

Washington Free Bacon is a more fitting name for a paper in that town.

The same thing will happen in the US Senate this year. Many of the rats that voted to kill the oil pipeline will be history.

” - - - House Democrats lost 63 seats in 2010, giving Republicans their largest Congressional majority since World War II.”

“We can do bettaah” in 2012 by booting out even more Free Lunch Democrats in the House AND Senate!

Cap and Trade passed the House but not the Senate. Which one flipped?
