I’m glad to read this about Greta. She’s earned my respect over the years, and this just adds to it.

Greta Van Susteren has become, for me, the shining light of all the so-called journalists at Fox News. Her work has evolved over the years into the most professional, consistent and even-handed segment on the Fox News network.

She had an exclusive interview last night with Bibi Netanyahu. Hers was the only news outlet by which he consented to be interviewed. She often secured interviews with Sarah Palin at a time when Governor Palin was justifiably avoiding news media. Strong conservative newsmakers trust Van Susteren to treat them fairly, an expectation that is sadly lacking even amongst most of the other Fox news personalities. She asks thoughtful questions, gives her guests plenty of time to answer them without interruption, listens with great concentration, and asks follow-up questions based on what the guest actually says, rather than reverting to some pre-written script running in her head while the guest is speaking.

Thank you for taking a stand on this, Greta. As a conservative, and especially as a woman, I appreciate your uncompromising stand.

Can only add one thing to what you said. Watching Greta become a butterfly has been interesting and uplifting. She’s the anti-baba wawa.
Kudos to her for this.

Your posting #37 is excellent and I agree with all of it.

Greta is THE best interviewer on TV, for the reasons that you stated; she allows the person to answer questions and does not always then go to her own pre-prepared questions. Greta lets the interviews evolve. And, she treats liberals and conservatives fairly; not showing her personal biases.

As she and her husband are Scientologists, she shows a lot of discipline in the performance of her profession.

I completely agree, and Greta has leveraged her cross-examination skills to become one of the best and sharpest interviewers I`ve ever seen.

As someone who keeps her political positions off the front burner and treats all with fairness and respect, Greta is what all journalists should aspire to be.
