Week 3 .. Las Vegas .. Who has the right stuff to take it to the limits and Git R Done? The weather looks good, the track is fast .. Join us for a spin or two in the desert.
KyBu wrecks...goes to the back...Jr. moves up to the front row.
Juablo changes engine on pre-Q back-up...goes to the back.
JJ wrecks...goes to the back...Logano moves to outside row 2.
Ambrose spins...hits nothing...perhaps some splitter damage from grass. At the end of post spin interview said he was going “...to change my pants.”
Shrub and the drunk Latino to the back is Great!
Jr. to the front is even better!
Good thing there’s plenty of Tide on hand for the Aussie’s pants...
Post some pics of Longhorns if’n they are there...please!
but...but...but JJ is back there in the midst of the mayhem...
You’re only saying that because it is true. Dirtydogx2 and his partner in crime are in the stands sticking VooDoo needles in JJ
We have 30+MPH gusts in Wisconsin.
Yikes! The wind finally stopped blowing here in northern Arizona.
Weather sucked. Should have known, cattle were going to ground Thursday when I went up, the weather went downhill from there. LOL
Back home, have work to do manana. :(
Cole Whitt continues to beat his famous teammate like a rented mule, LOL.
Had too much company and missed the race. I did get to watch Moto-Cross from Daytona tonight but what a mud hole!!!
It is 32F and snowing here today. Am getting veggies started early indoors. Currently have Clemson okra and Cherokee purple tomatoes started.
This is the first race this year that looks more like full season tracks so there will be a keen eye on them today. Teams that have it down will be in better contention to win for the season.
I wish we could grow tomatoes but we have 2 farmers mkt a week here in Benderville. How did you manage to lose 2 spots in the league... during qualifying no less???
I wavering on the Biff today because that broken spark plug has me worried. A bore scope showed no damage to the piston or cylinder but...
I only lost 1 spot in qualifying. Rocus passed with a good Q showing. HDx2 had a really good Q score and has pulled ahead. I only got 1 Q point with jr.
Kasey is on a roll..
Kasey Kahne has gotten off to a rough start with Hendrick Motorsports, which still is one Cup win shy of 200. He starts from the pole at Vegas. Green at 3:16 p.m. ET.

8:35 a.m. ET — Kasey Kahne is having a fairly decent weekend. He qualified second and finished tenth in yesterday’s Nationwide Series race. On top of that, Kahne is on the pole for today’s Kobalt Tools 400 after turning a blistering fast lap of 190.456 mph during time trials. That broke the previous qualifying record of 188.884 mph set by Matt Kenseth last year.
This was the 23rd pole of Kahne’s Sprint Cup career, and his third in nine races at Las Vegas. However, only once — Kyle Busch in 2009 — has this race been won from the pole.
Kyle Busch will roll off the starting grid second, his seventh top-10 finish in nine starts here. Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Clint Bowyer qualified third through fifth, while Jimmie Johhnson, Tony Stewart, Joey Logano, Greg Biffle and Martin Truex Jr. took sixth through tenth.
Johnson will have to start from the rear of the field in a backup car after a crash in practice.
