A local school district is apologizing after an apparent incident of racism at a boys high school basketball game this past weekend.
When the final whistle blew Saturday, Alamo Heights celebrated a convincing victory over San Antonio Edison.
Alamo Heights Head Coach Andrew Brewer said he was proud of his team.
Tremendously proud, Brewer said. Tremendously. Its the best group of kids.
But it was just after the trophy presentation when the coach was not proud of the chant coming from Alamo Heights fans.
USA, USA, USA, they chanted.
San Antonio Independent School District officials took the chant as a racial insult to a school with all minority players from a school with mostly white ones.
On the KSAT 12 Defenders Facebook page, Santos Villarreals post reads this has to stop.
And my point still stands, we wouldnt be having such a up-hill battle NOW to convince voters, esp minorities, to reject Dems if the economy was doing well in 2008.
Claiming a Republican POTUS with a Republican congress was a victim of Democrats is sort of a pointless message, regardless of those dying to believe it.
Yep.....we had no defence in 2008, and a rotten candidate who apparently didn’t even want to win. Romney has already signaled that he won’t “attack” Obama, so he would lose.
USA is a race?
Rest assured if roles were reversed with chants of 'Mexico,' we would be reminded about free speech and tolerance. If it weren't for double-standards, the Left would have no standards at all.
“”The rest of the story: the kids from Edison were chanting, Alamo Whites before and during the game. Did Alamo Heights get an apology? Hell, no! “”

Nuff said!
I don't know about a House bill. But there was a Senate bill -- the Financial Reform Act of 2005 (close). McCain hizzelf sponsored it and spoke in favor of it -- demanding action on the grounds that what actually happened would happen.
It was filibustered and died, courtesy of Harry Reid.
Nobody in the Senate majority followed up on it, to my knowledge. For that, they deserve blame.
But it was the Democrats who corrupted the system. And blocked any attempt to reform it.

This is exactly what should have happened. Either they are Mexicans or Americans. No one was stopping them from yelling out "USA" along with the Alamo Heights basketball team and supporters
I hope everyone here is going to the video at You Tube and voting thumbs up for the first comment and thumbs down for the stupid second comment.
“As others have noted, the PC Left has declared all-out war in the culture battle, and they’re no longer interested in “talking things out”(not that they ever really were - they just pretended to be). They’re now in full “my way or the highway” mode and the only way to deal with them is to defeat them.”
Of course you are right. It -is- an “all-out” cultural “cold war”.
But they have gained such leverage, in the form of media support and leftist big-government out of Washington, that it will soon no longer be possible to “defeat” them in the arena of reason.
The only “arena” left will be that of brute force.
What then?
