Although most conservatives understand the important of defeating Obama, the next Congress has to be almost coequal in importance. ObamaCare, for example, cannot be repealed without control of the House of Representatives and not only control of the Senate, but enough senators to forestall a filibuster. Appointments to the federal bench, especially the Supreme Court, require Senate approval. Many of the reforms which conservatives see as vital to economic growth -- reform of the tax code, deregulation of environmental extremism, and changes to the entitlements systems -- will require congressional concurrence.
The structure of the Senate races in 2012 and also in 2014 favors Republicans. This is a consequence of the Democrats' big win six years ago in the 2006 election. Ten Republicans defend seats, and seven of those -- Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas, Wyoming, Utah, and Arizona -- have been strongly Republican in recent decades. How Republican? Each of those seven states has a Republican governor, two Republican senators, and Republicans control both houses of the state legislature.
Two states may be considered toss-ups: Nevada and Maine. Both states have Republican governors. Nevada has one senator of each party, and Maine has two Republican senators. The Nevada legislative chambers are split, but both houses of the Maine legislature are controlled by Republicans. The ethical imbroglio of John Ensign and the decision by Olympia Snowe not to seek re-election, however, put these seats in play. The only Republican Senate seat in jeopardy because the state is strongly Democrat is Massachusetts, but Scott Brown still runs surprisingly well in polls.
Democrat senators are retiring in North Dakota, Nebraska, Virginia, Wisconsin, and New Mexico. North Dakota and Nebraska are very red states, and Virginia is also a red state, though less emphatically. Republicans have strong candidates in Wisconsin, Virginia, and New Mexico.

I sincerely hope not. The Republican Party has proven that they are NOT the conservative stewards of the government and are as bad or worse than the left. I would far rather that 2012 be a Tea Paty Year.
However, barring that, our government needs a major overhaul and reset that takes us BACK to the original Constitution written and presented by the Founding Fathers. There are a few minor tweaks needed that eliminate the present situation, but those aren't the major issues; we need to get back to the government our Founders created, NOTv the government that the 'Pubbies and Dems have given us today.

Class warfare, racism, and unfettered power grabs by the federal government will grow unchecked in an Obama second term. Romney, if the nominee, has faults...but blatant class warfare and racist behavior isn’t among them. His tendency toward big government solutions can be circumvented by a Republican congress.

As things stand now, I think it’ll be a mixed bag at best. The GOP will likely hold onto the House and has a 50/50 chance of winning the Senate.
In WI, Walker will probably survive (barely) the recall attempt, but by the law of averages, at least one of the GOP senators there will fall. With the Voter ID law hamstrung by a pro-recall judge, the door is open for widespread fraud, so it’ll be up to patriotic citizens to monitor the polling locations.
I’m not confident at all about the Presidential race.

Last month I happened to get into a conversation with a pollster who let slip that her polling company had recently completed a poll on “race relation” and had been told by whoever paid for this poll not to release the results because of what it showed.
But, we don't. Evwery 2 years we re-elect the same 535 people to the Congress and wonder why things keep deteriorating.
We don't grasp the fact that the 535 people we keep sending the Congress who CREATED the problems have NO CLUE how to FIX the problems.
BTW, primaries are NOT the only way to change representatives.
Does it really matter?? Right now, our choice is shaping up to be Obama and Obama'lite. There is no "None of the Above"!

I am CERTAIN that Obama will be appointing liberal judges like Ginsberg who will continue to wreck havoc on our system long after he is gone.
I am quite certain that a Santorum or Gingrich will appoint someone like Thomas or Scalia (because they said so ).
Romney did say he would follow GW Bush’s lead in appointing judges and justices.

G W Bush,for all his faults, gave us Alito and Roberts. Good men both.
Bush also appointed great jurists like Miguel Estrada and Janice Rogers Brown ( not always successful in his appointments, but still, you know his inclination ).
ON THIS ISSUE ALONE, THERE IS A GREAT GAP BETWEEN A FLAWED GOP PRESIDENT AND OBAMA.
And Let’s forget to mention EVERY SINGLE CANDIDATE’s PROMISE ( which I believe they intend to fulfill ) to help REPEAL Obamacare.
I’ll take Obama-lite to Obama anytime if the choice boils down to this.
