Carbonite doesn’t realize their elderly users stand by Rush.. The younger crowd uses high-capacity external hard drives for back up and don’t need Carbonite.

I just cancelled my Carbonite subscription yesterday and changed to a different service. I don’t use local hard drives for backup because it makes little sense to have the backed up data in the same location as the primary. A fire, lightning strike, electrical surge, theft, water damage, etc. takes them both out. The “younger” crowd is making a mistake in terms of securing their backups unless they are regularly taking a copy off site.
