“The man is mentally deranged.”
Unfortunately I don’t think he’s the least bit deranged. More like focussed on the destruction of our once beautiful country. And to think we thought that Bill Clinton was pond scum. As some one posted recently, we can recover from an Obama presidency, but it’s doubtful that we will recover from the idiocy that pervades our electorate. I am just afraid that it will be all over before the idiots who vote for the likes of Obama finally figure out that they’ve been had.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president. — Author Unknown

The superfluity of psychobabble in our culture causes us to equate insanity with evil; this is a grave and misleading error which I'm happy to see you did not fall into.
What the president is engaging in is something often identified on FR: Cognitive Dissonance.
