Sounds like they are doing a full toxicology screening, which may be standard in a case like this where the guy dropped dead on the street, or perhaps it was requested by police or the family.
Tox screens and certain tissue tests may take that long...it must mean the pathologist can’t make a quick definitive diagnosis of MI since the indicators(clogged cardiac artery and tissue changes in the affected area of the heart) must not be definitively present.
