When I read it I took it that Paul was saying, "Rush apologized but he didn't mean it so get over it!"

Self-preservation is the first law of nature. so I've been told.

I guess that's one way to look at Paul's statement but I'm not ready to sign on to that take on it.

What I do know about Paul is that he's never apologized for anything - not for his racist blogs/newsletter; not for claiming that Jews deserve to be left to their own defenses against the Arab/Muslim countries surrounding them who desire their destruction; not for basically agreeing with Rev. Jeremiah Right that "America's chickens are coming home to roost;" translated we deserved 9/11.

Nope, I still believe that Paul truly believes that Rush Limbaugh would only apologize to keep from losing more advertisers, i.e. $$$$$
