As I said on several other endorsement threads, we can’t assume that people giving these endorsements have the same information people here have or are using the same issues. Cantor may not have 40 hours a week to dig into all of Romney’s flip flops and only has to go on what Romney is portraying now.
It is why people shouldn’t base their votes on endorsements (albeit, if you are endorsed by groups like the Taliban, NOW, the KKK etc, that is another story) but on their own values.
Plain and simply, there is more in it for Cantor personally by supporting Romney.
Face the facts, that is what politics has devolved to any more.
Democrats arrange the deck chairs to the left and Republicans fight to arrange the deck chairs to the right.
They are the crew and we are the paying riders.
In the long run, we ALL go down, the crew gets the lifeboats...
And we do?
I suppose his staff just slipped this little 'action item' on his To Do List for this week.
Wouldn't it behoove someone in Cantor's position to totally vet a presidential candidate before endorsing him? There is no excuse for him not doing this.
Quite obviously, Cantor is part of the Republican establishment, so he dutifully carries their water.
The Republicans in leadership positions are a disgrace.
so...why was Fox showing a pic of Sen. Paul Ryan, when reporting this story?
If I lived in Cantor’s district, I would base all of my future votes against him on his endorsement of the Massachusetts nightmare. I would not vote for Romney if he gave me half his income.
When I was watching Cantor, before Cantor actually announced, I told my husband it would be Romney. Cantor is not the worst, but he is not really that conservative. Just ask Mark Levin.
