Carbonite, Sleep Train Mattress Centers, and Quicken Loans are the three.
Anybody do business with them here?

Yes, Carbonite. I wont be renewing my subscription when it comes up later this year. I will also be emailing them my outrage right now...

My hope, when all this has died down, and all those companies sales are down, and they want to advertise again, Rush tells them to go to hell where they belong.

Well, this is timely. I made a special effort to get my last mattress from Sleep Train 11 years ago. A new one is due and it won't be from them.
Haven't used Carbonite and won't now, even though we've been giving it thought.
Quicken is now gone from our future business prospects as well.
Gee this makes vendor choices a bit easier. You know, when all is said and done, I'll betcha these companies lose more business from Rush supporters than they would have from supporters of government financed "social needs".

"'Thank you @theSleepTrain for not supporting misogyny. Youre a good egg,' said @FlightyWendy."
The one thing that a lot of people are not understanding is, a business decision to advertise in any medium is based on making impressions on readers/listeners/viewers...not in "supporting a cause".
If I am an advertiser and you reach a lot of people who would be my main market for my product, I'm buying time/space in your medium. So long as you don't say anything derogatory about me or my business, and I see results from my ads, I'm there to stay.
The occutypes who are doing the bitching are not going to buy a "sleep number mattress"...they're sleeping in tents in city parks.
I would like to see the numbers reflecting a boycott of the anti-Rush gang against sleepnumber as opposed to their loss of business by pulling their ads.
Either way, Rush isn't going to starve.
In Rush's shoes, I would say; "I'll tell my 20+million listeners how great your product is, but you don't control the content of my show. Your only motivators for cancelling your ads should be if I say something derogatory about you/your business, or, lose my listeners. Neither has happened and you have fallen victim to those who would quell free speech in America.
You knew of my vast listenership when you signed the advertising contract, and you know that talk radio inherently delves in controversy. If you thought I was going to sit here 15 hours a week and sing 'kum-ba-yah', then you didn't research your advertising very well.
So, rest assured that your ads will be cancelled, per your request. I hope if you ever change your mind you will remember that I have a long waiting list of advertisers who are eager for your time slot, and when the time is sold out, it's sold out. Good luck."

I think this is going overboard. Most of those companies if
it were not for Rush; they would not be a successful business.
I stopped listening to Rush since he never defended Newt on Bloody Thursday week before the Florida vote though, this radical war on getting him off of the air is what we see now.

It figures...
I recently suffered a catastrophic data loss on my music computer through my own stupidity. Over the last month I’d been looking into using Carbonite in addition to the now 2 additional HDs I clone to.
Trust me, reauthorizing music software is a whole different mess than normal. All the companies have different copy protection/dongle etc schemes, ..just a mess.
Well, guess I look for other offsite/secure options because this is BS. Those companies were not blind to Rush and what he does/says. They reaped the ad rewards and bailed at the first hint of trouble. I hope his ‘confiscatory ad rates’ morph to ‘punitive’ when they come crawling back. And they will.
Bottom line: Rush made an un-PC but totally and dictionary accurate assertion. Anyone claiming that a woman requiring 3K in birth control for “f-buddy’ sex isn’t a slut, works for the Ministry of Truth.
To: Nachum
Conservatives should in turn threaten to boycott the businesses that have pulled out or are thinking of pulling out their ads from RL ‘s show.
To: Nachum
NOPE, and I hope RUSH does not cave. Enough is enough.
The liberals are able to say any vicious, vulger name they want to and NOBODY stops them, and it's not just one of them, its the whole gaggle. .
To: Nachum
“The companies decisions come on the heels of Limbaugh calling a Georgetown University law student a prostitute and slut on his show Wednesday for testifying on Capitol Hill about womens access to contraception.”
For testifying?? I don’t think it was “for testifying” that he called her a prostitute and slut.

Was going to use Carbonite but no more.
Same for buying two Sleep Comfort pillows. We were going there today but not any longer.
Quicken Loans. FRers warn against using them on a good day.
Legal Zoom. Was going to use them for a new will. Now will do it myself (I’m a paralegal as is my daughter). You can get legal forms from your state.
Pro-Flowers. WIll go to local florists who don’t use them, or pick my neighbors’ flowers. They’ve got a good crop right now. Mine come in later.
Time that we struck back and let these companies know that we are initiating a counterboycott.
To: Nachum
Does anyone know what other shows, media that Carbonite advertises on?I I know, without even looking, that we will find countless other left wing venues that have not drawn even a peep from these hypocrites. They won’t be getting my money.
