“Rush sold his soul for money. He was losing sponsors left and right He’s a moral coward and I’ll never listen to him again. I truly hope he just fades away- quickly.”

Not surprised to see that response - it is however a reality that you don’t stay on the radio without sponsors. Now if anyone believes enough in Rush’s original statement to pick up the funding of his radio program so that he wouldn’t have to walk it back, more power to them.

But without sponsors Rush quickly turns into “Air America” in terms of staying power - lot of good that does anyone.

I think he’ll get by without your listenership.

He can’t survive one weekend without those particular sponsors?

So let me get this straight. As long as Rush sells his soul to appease his sponsors, he’ll be able to stay on the air so he can...um..sell his soul to appease his sponsors. Good plan there, Socrates.

We (the good guys) have to be realistic and rational about the times we are living in. We all know that the left can call conservatives every and any name in the book with no consequences because the libs own the media. Conservatives can not. Until VIA elections we stack the deck once again in our favor we have to choose our battles and live to fight another day. We’ve already lost Brietbart, Coulter is a nutcase now, we really can’t afford to lose Rush too. What he did was diffuse a worsening situation. Better that than let this slut keep gaining more and more exposure and letting the left control the debate. They wanted an apology. Fine they got one. Now what? If they keep beating the drum it will only hurt them.

It was IMO a half-assed apology anyway. He did only as Mich as he had to to get this shit over with.

We have bigger battles to fight. We have to win elections and fundamentallly change the damage that has been done. Then apologies won’t be necessary.
