Why I am NEVER voting for Romney, even if he is the GOP nominee (shudder)

Many people, online and in-person, have started to shrug and say, "Oh well. Looks like Romney's gonna get the Republican nomination. I'll have to hold my nose and vote for him, like I voted for McCain.and all the other RINOs the GOP have shoved at us. After all, if he's only 80-90% like Obama then he's at least a little better than him, right?"

WRONG. and here’s why.

If Myth does 90% of what Zer0 does, he will do it WITH AN R NEXT TO HIS NAME.

What does this do? Well, Republicans in Congress who would otherwise balk at lib legislation if it were proposed by Zer0 WILL SIGN ON TO THE LEGISLATION BECAUSE IT IS PROPOSED BY THE LEADER OF THE GOP.

Imagine: amnesty, “tax fairness”, gutting the military and so much more ALL SAILING THROUGH CONGRESS because a “Republican” is at the helm of America. Contrast this with a second Obozo presidency where the GOP will dig in their heels and at least try to fight.

Yeah, I said it. An Obummer presidency is better for America than a Myth presidency (in the way that a cowpie sandwich is better than a meal of broken glass).

This is why we have to have a NOT-ROMNEY at the top of the ticket if we are to have any hope of digging America out of this hole we’re in. And if we don't, God help us... but I still WON'T vote for him. I'll vote for whichever acceptable, conservative 3rd party candidate is running (so my protest vote will have the most impact), or I'll write one in.

As JimRob says. Romneycare = Obamacare = Commiecare. NO ROMNEY, NO WAY!!

Your posts reflect both compassion and wisdom and it would seem your “crime” would fall under “honoring thy father and mother.” I can assure you that whatever “slate” is being kept on me is FAR worse than yours! I respect your point, but please read my latest post. Romney is to the left of even RINO McCain. Whatever conservative rhetoric he's saying now is purely to fool us. Expect him to take a hard left after the election, to woo "independents". Count on it. Count on it. I will vote today at my causus for somebody maybe you will approve of, but come November I don’t give a GD who our candidate is, I will be voting for him, to send that disrespectful A-hole back to Chicago. Christians are not better than other people. They forgive others, ask forgiveness for themselves, and try to lead a better life by not sinning further. I’m not disgusted with Newt Gingrich, who I believe has honestly changed his life. I’m disgusted with the bigots who claim they are Christian but do not put it into daily practice.

I think you are looking at it all wrong. You can forgive someone for their past action and still not want to reward them with the Presidency. They are two different things. I can forgive Newt for his adultery and still not support him for President especially during the primary. I will support him in the General. I am unsure why you can't tell the difference.

I understand your position. The thought of Zer0 giving an acceptance speech makes me want to vomit from here to the end of time. But in terms of practical impact to America, a Romney presidency is more of a disaster. He will Trojan horse in the demise of America, aided and abetted by BOTH parties. Romney is the Soros dream candidate.

I think we can agree to disagree on how we want to deal with this tragic situation.

I’ve been pouring money into conservative Congress races as well. If we want to defeat the progressive agenda, our best defense will be a principled bank of conservatives in the House and Senate to hold the line against Zer0 OR Myth.
