Yes, every ORI was grueling.
The movie “Gathering of Eagles” is very accurate. About a dozen of us aircrew members saw it when it first came out. As we were walking away from the theater, one guy asked, “Doesn’t everybody?”
The ORI teams were about 30 men from headquarters.
