Rick Santorum’s Ohio Delegate Problems Pile Up (Could lose up to 1/4 of Super Tuesday haul)

I said that Rick Santorum is not ready for Prime Time, and you said:

____________________________________________________________ Well, more than a million voters disagreed with me when this native Texan tried to tell folks before his first Debate that Rick Perry was a light-weight who was dumb as a damn coal bucket. Their disagreement with me did not change the fact that I WAS RIGHT!!! Rick Perry will never win another State-wide race in Texas again. I was right about Ricky P. and I'm right about Ricky S. Since when does what the majority of the ignorant, American electorate thinks determines who is "right" and who is "wrong". If that's the case, then I guess we were wrong about Obama in '08 because the majority of voters disagreed with us. Now, you have a nice day.

I appreciate your attepmpt at objectivity in assessing why Newt supporters have a problem with Rick. And, I hate to tell you this, my friend, but, promiscuity was rampant for centuries before we had condoms and the pill. I believe that one of the 10 Commandments deals with adultery. Now, may I say this......

I’m a Ronald Reagan-style Conservative and a born-again Christian (Conservative Charismatic). I have no problem with Rick’s convictions. But, I do have a problem with his junvenile mind-set when he tries to explain his positions on social issues. He hurts himself with dumb comments like: Contraception is “bad for America”. And, his “vomit” comment about a speech JFK made re: Separation of Church and State over 50 years ago. Rick-dude is not speaking to a church youth group; he addressing, mature (and sometimes intelligent) Americans. He allows the media to make him look like an out-of-touch Bozo. Now we understand why he lost his Senate seat by the highest margin ever, by an incumbent, in the history of the United States. So, please do not infer that, because we think the guy is kinda “out of touch” and lacking in communication skills that we are morally inferior.

Thank you, NoDems... this is helpful to know the underlying values of who I'm talking to.

I definitely believe Christian conservatives can vote for Newt Gingrich in good conscience if they believe he's the most competent candidate since it is quite clear he advocates a classic Judeo-Christian view of Western civilization. Even if Gingrich isn't repentant, it doesn't take much looking at the moral lives of some of the key civil rulers who promoted the Reformation for their own (sometimes nefarious) ends to know that God has used openly wicked and malicious civil rulers with grossly immoral personal lives to accomplish his will — and Newt Gingrich is not in that category by a long shot. Nobody can compare Gingrich to Henry VIII, for example, and not come away with the conclusion that Gingrich is much better.

I am quite unhappy with all the candidates running this year and I've said that many times. With President Obama’s horrible policies and the rise of the Tea Party movement several years ago, we should today be seeing a 1980-style revolt by the Democrats trying to get rid of Obama in their primary out of fear of a massive rout of all Democrats in the fall, and we should be having top-tier candidates in our own primary.

Instead, what we've got is what we have to work with. All the candidates have problems, some of them quite serious. The question is which is best to go forward to November, and that's a question on which people of good will can disagree.

There is NO better reason! Newt is a seasoned and talented debater. Rick shakes his head side to side when speaking. I did that as a kid when my dad was reading me the riot act and I was very nervous trying to explain my side of the story. I can see why Rick lost by whopping margin of 18% in his last senate bid. He is just a bad debater.
